I appreciate the insightful post! The metaphor of the caterpillar transforming into a butterfly is a beautiful representation of personal growth and transformation. But oh, when those wings finally unfurl, isn't it something to behold? So, for anyone reading this and feeling impatient with their journey, remember that a caterpillar doesn't become a butterfly overnight. Instead, it is something we should embrace, for it's the very essence of our metamorphosis. Just like that, in our lives, the "caterpillarness" is not something we must shun or rush. But, isn't that the beauty of it? It takes time to burn, to illuminate, to permeate. It's a slow process, transforming from a solid wax stick to a source of light and fragrance. It's been burning for a while now, casting a weak light that doesn't shadow much. You know, I sometimes look at my scented candle on the desk, the one with soot-stained glass and a faux melon scent. As much as we'd like to expedite the process, there are no shortcuts to personal transformation. It's easy to lose sight of the journey in the rush to become the proverbial butterfly.īut like you said, and I couldn't agree more, it's in this unfolding process where we find our real strength, our real growth. For all of us strivers and doers, it's easy to become impatient with our caterpillarness.
